The DS at the bottom of the picture is still a genuine DS. However, the case is not an original Zelda edition case. This case was one of many custom cases that were readily available for anyone to purchase and swap out on their systems. The gold casing is slightly darker than the genuine counterpart and the Triforce is colored brown and does not have a metallic sheen. It also appears that the Triforce is narrower in width than the one on the genuine DS. Finally, the inside finish is slightly coarser to the touch.
In either case, both systems run lovely and if you are only interesting in having a sweet looking DS Lite, then you are all set! For those of you who collect, these are the minor differences for you to be aware of while on your hunt to add this piece to your collection!
