Hut-Hiya, everyone! One of my greatest passions is discovering and researching as much as I can about various Zelda memorabilia and then being able to share it with all of you. This both preserves the item’s history and provides a resource for all other Zelda fans and collectors out there. Typically, when researching, especially on older niche topics that are before or during early internet days, information can be scarce and often lost to time, making it even more important to record as much as we can. Often, even as a nerdy girl on the internet, trying to dig up the history of things as “mundane” to others as a trivial toy, you often aren’t able to find all the puzzle pieces. I am constantly trying to infer their story based on the tidbits that are still out there and come up with my best guesses, just as many archaeologists would do when discovering artifacts.

It's not every day that my research is blessed by Hylia herself when I am able to reach out and interview someone with personal experience behind the creation of some of my favorite collectibles. Meet Chris Huisman, former Design Manager and Licensing Coordinator for JoyRide Studios, who had worked with Nintendo and Nintendo Power to release a fantastic line of figures in the early 2000s. From this line, the two that I fell in love with were Link and Link and Epona. While trying to research the variations of these two figures, I stumbled across Huisman’s contacts and reached out to him. He graciously indulged my curiosity after I bombarded him with a dissertation’s worth of questions. What can I say? I got really excited. Heh, heh…

Jakks Pacific reignited the world with an array of Nintendo toys.  While they are not the only toy manufacturers that help bring our favorite video game characters to life, they definitely brought to light many Nintendo IPs who hadn't seen some toy memorabilia in quite some time - especially here in the United States.  Outside of hosting plastic manifestations of Nintendo's bread-and-butter front man, Mario, and the rest of the Super Mario crew, Jakks' World of Nintendo line also highlighted characters from games such as The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and Donkey Kong.  Critics of Nintendo titles will argue that newer entries into the various series are just rehashed versions of their original game counterparts.  Well hold your Lon Lon Milks, critics, Jakks will see your claim and raise you not once, not twice, but up to TEN TIMES more with their repackaging model.  (Excuse me while I go cry in the my collector completionist corner for how many times I bought the SAME figure in a variant package.)

Thanks to Jakks Nintendo Database (previously at https://jakksnintendodatabase.weebly.com/) (and currently at https://jakksnintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Jakks_Nintendo_Wiki) created by Lemmy_Toys I have finally compiled a COMPLETE LIST of every Legend of Zelda figure in the World of Nintendo collection.  This list will not include plushies, costumes, etc. purely so I can pretend they are not a part of this repackaging nightmare. 😭

On November 18th, 2021 I was contacted by a dangerous narcissist named Nicholas Ghenov.  What started as what I thought was going to be just another fellow collector trying to do research on a piece turned into a child's tantrum, accusations, and threats from a man who wanted to create hype for a false product for a profit.  I have documented his interactions and want to provide a warning for others of the community to stay clear of this man who clearly needs help.  He has also threatened other prominent members of the Zelda Collector Community, including Ikhana Kingdom (Anne) and Nightram56 (Brett).

During just his first interaction, he spent an hour late into the night threatening me to sell and/or find him the unreleased Darunia prototype figure from Toysite (formerly BD&A). He kept messaging me for about an hour insisting I knew where these missing toys were.

Nicholas Ghenov had multiple social media accounts, including several just on Instragam, where he had initially contacted me.  There are the known Insta handles (so far): @ultimate.custom.collections, @pure.might, @baby_.yoda_.memes_, @pudgers_sweetface, and @Divine_deity612. He also had the eBay handles: @treasures.cove, @nickcam4566, and @Hobbies4lobbies.  After investigating Nicholas had a history of creating false accounts and even talking with himself as other accounts or bidding against himself to increase the bid.

HEY!  LISTEN!  It's been a minute! (...Or a year... or more.)  Holy Hylia, 2020 was like an alternate reality on a Majora's Mask kind of trip or something!  How did I cope?  I bought a TON of Zelda goodies from Japan!  Thing was, the import company (Buyee.jp - Not a sponsor) wouldn't ship anything outside of Japan because of the shut down.  (Big surprise with a global pandemic.)  BUT they were willing to wave holding fees indefinitely until shipping options opened back up.  That gave me a YEAR AND A HALF to hunt for Japanese Zelda goodies that we hardly see here in the States and stockpile my treasures in some poor warehouse in Japan until the time had come.  AND THAT DAY IS NOW!

After FOUR shipping crates and unholy shipping fees (even with shipping consolidation) I definitely got what I paid for!  I am so happy with the entire experience and everything I was able to purchase throughout what seemed like a never ending nightmare during 2020.  I'll try my best to get everything photographed and added here on the site.  It's been a little overwhelming with what still needs to get posted so I've been trying to share a pic a day from my collection over on my Instagram!  (If you don't follow me over there - you should!  https://www.instagram.com/linksliltri4ce/)

Happy 2020 Everybody!
I'm making an effort to update this site a lot more recently.  There's just so much Zelda-goodness and so little time!  A large, Official Crafts page has been added to the site!  These items are officially released by Nintendo through Play Nintendo.  The papercrafts include masks, backpack tags, holiday gift tags, Valentine's Day cards, and more.  While all of these items are still available in the deep depths of Play.Nintendo.com, I have gathered and preserved all of the printable media relating to my favorite Fairy Boy here on The Legend of Collections.  Downloadable files are provided on each item for your papercrafting pleasures!  While the links are still live on Nintendo's website, I have also included the original links for you to explore.

By far my favorite official crafts from Play Nintendo are definitely both of the sets of masks from Majora's Mask.  They are a great tie-in to their respective game (and aren't just some form of greeting card.)  I hope that Nintendo goes back to this method at some point in the future... but any and all bonus Zelda media is fine in my book!  Check out all of the Official Crafts HERE!

Hey everyone!  This is Linksliltri4ce from The Legend of Cosplay here with TWO special Legend of Collections Unboxing Videos!  I made it my quest to open every single dog tag from the new EnterPLAY Legend of Zelda Collector Tag set that just came out.  Shall I slay the completionist beast within me by collecting all (currently available) 26 tags, 12 decals, and 12 tattoos  or will evil win again and leave me a sad collector?  Not only do we have a normal video today, but we also have an ASMR Unboxing video as well!
