This plush was auctioned from a Goodwill location in Washington (where the toy company in question was based as well as NoA) and the tag has a name that supposedly matches the name of a former employee of BD&A. I am still in the camp of plausible since there’s no other evidence to say it’s authentic and I don’t love that it’s something that - I - could likely make in an evening. It IS marked as a production sample and details, coloring, etc could not have been finalized. …But HOLY HYLIA this would be SOOOOOO cool if it was real. Check out the listing here: Luckily the auction provided a couple of different angles of the plush.
On November 18th, 2021 I was contacted by a dangerous narcissist named Nicholas Ghenov. What started as what I thought was going to be just another fellow collector trying to do research on a piece turned into a child's tantrum, accusations, and threats from a man who wanted to create hype for a false product for a profit. I have documented his interactions and want to provide a warning for others of the community to stay clear of this man who clearly needs help. He has also threatened other prominent members of the Zelda Collector Community, including Ikhana Kingdom (Anne) and Nightram56 (Brett). During just his first interaction, he spent an hour late into the night threatening me to sell and/or find him the unreleased Darunia prototype figure from Toysite (formerly BD&A). He kept messaging me for about an hour insisting I knew where these missing toys were. Nicholas Ghenov had multiple social media accounts, including several just on Instragam, where he had initially contacted me. There are the known Insta handles (so far): @ultimate.custom.collections, @pure.might, @baby_.yoda_.memes_, @pudgers_sweetface, and @Divine_deity612. He also had the eBay handles: @treasures.cove, @nickcam4566, and @Hobbies4lobbies. After investigating Nicholas had a history of creating false accounts and even talking with himself as other accounts or bidding against himself to increase the bid.
HEY! LISTEN! It's been a minute! (...Or a year... or more.) Holy Hylia, 2020 was like an alternate reality on a Majora's Mask kind of trip or something! How did I cope? I bought a TON of Zelda goodies from Japan! Thing was, the import company (Buyee.jp - Not a sponsor) wouldn't ship anything outside of Japan because of the shut down. (Big surprise with a global pandemic.) BUT they were willing to wave holding fees indefinitely until shipping options opened back up. That gave me a YEAR AND A HALF to hunt for Japanese Zelda goodies that we hardly see here in the States and stockpile my treasures in some poor warehouse in Japan until the time had come. AND THAT DAY IS NOW!
After FOUR shipping crates and unholy shipping fees (even with shipping consolidation) I definitely got what I paid for! I am so happy with the entire experience and everything I was able to purchase throughout what seemed like a never ending nightmare during 2020. I'll try my best to get everything photographed and added here on the site. It's been a little overwhelming with what still needs to get posted so I've been trying to share a pic a day from my collection over on my Instagram! (If you don't follow me over there - you should! https://www.instagram.com/linksliltri4ce/) I hope you enjoy watching the unboxing videos and get to see some hidden treasures that we don't often find these days. Let me know what your favorite items from my haul were!

Get some classic Zelda reading done! 📚 Did you know that The Legend of Zelda Valiant Comics had TWO different print runs? Check out the lesser known 2nd run here: http://linksliltri4cezeldacollection.weebly.com/valiant-comics-series-2---the-legend-of-zelda.html I’m working on adding more out-of-print Zelda scans to my site soon! Check out other Zelda comics and novels as well as read the 1st run of Zelda Valiant on my friend Melora’s site: http://historyofhyrule.com/ I CANNOT believe it! I was invited to attend the Zelda Dungeon Charity Marathon this year by Mases himself!🤯🤩🥰 Holy Hylia, you guys! Jackfelgar, Comicbookjon, & I were all able to stop by the Zelda Dungeon’s Charity Marathon last week and be on the stream during Four Swords Adventures!!! Check out the stream and donate if you can! Follow Zelda Dungeon's Twitch Channel at: https://twitch.tv/zeldadungeon Mases also asked me to make some special plushies for his staff for the event. Jackfelgar, Comic Book Jon, and I worked our hands blue making this massive. limited-edition, Zelda-Dungeon Themed Wizzrobe Army for just the occasion! (Our hands were LITERALLY blue afterwards from the ink used to create the patterns. My poor sewing machine still looks like a Smurf!) 😅
This is the third complete statue to be known to have survived from Nintendo's 2011 Holiday Mall Tour. This statue also included it's replacement sword, making it a 1.5 addition to the family of 10 known statues made for the events. This particular statue was likely from the event that took place in The Parks at Arlington in Arlington, Texas, although it now resides in Seattle, Washington. It is owned by Steve L (Steelotriplenine) and it was originally discovered in a a video by MetalJesusRocks featuring Steve's collection. (See the video here: https://youtu.be/y4QZue-Ribs). The sword has been in Steve's possession at least since May 2016 when he posted a picture about it on his instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/p/BE6Mg37GVo0/).
For more information about Steve's statue as well as the others, please check out mine at: http://linksliltri4cezeldacollection.weebly.com/nintendo-holiday-mall-tour-2011---skyward-sword-promotional-statue.html The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has certainly taken the world on a quest of epic proportions and has captured the heart containers of its fan-base. Amidst the massive amounts of BotW merchandise that emptied our rupee supplies since the game's launch there arose three special (and squishy) items that have certainly caught my eye! Recently announced at San-Ei's booth at the 2017 Tokyo Game Show, we have been "Mipha's Graced" with this lovely vision: A Sheikah Slate Cushion, a 12" BotW Link Plush, and a 12" BOKOBLIN PLUSH!!! (Can you tell which one I'm the most excited for?) It's very rare that we see toy merchandise based on enemy characters from the Zelda series. HOW COULD YOU NOT WANT TO SNUGGLE UP WITH THAT ADORKABLE BOKOBLIN PLUSH, ANYWAYS?!
You can see the specs down below or at the Tokyo Otaku Mode Shop: What you see before you is not a pair of prototype First 4 Figures Link and Zelda on Loftwing statues. Instead, you are looking at a much rarer flock!
