After the rumors of a Zelda-based trading card game started circulating last October it would only be a matter of time that gaming distributors would start posting pre-orders for its speculated 2016 release for the 30th Zelda Anniversary. Today I spotted on AGD Retailer Services this A Link Between Worlds Playmat by Ultra-Pro and EnterPLAY (The same company that made the Twilight Princess Trading Cards.) Upon further inspection I found a Majora's Mask Playmat on EnterPLAY's site as well. No news on any of the trading cards themselves, the sleeves, the dogtags, or the collector tins, but it's good to see some more items pop up! Sources: Ultra-Pro, EnterPLAY, and Zelda Informer

Goodsmile Company has finally released their latest A Link Between Worlds Figma Link for pre-order. However, until today, many did not know that there were going to be TWO versions available, the Standard Edition and the DX Edition. While the DX Edition is exclusively available in Japan through the Goodsmile Company, representatives state that international customers may order the DX and Standard versions through any of their partner companies. The DX Edition costs roughly ¥1000 more than the Standard Edition, which really isn't too much to fuss over. The two figures seem to be identical with each showing a wide range of posability that all of the Figma figures are known for. Link is shown sporting Ravio's Bracelet as a nice addition. Each come with exchangeable faces (smiling and serious), a display base, an "illustration of the wall merged Link", as well as a sword and shield combo. The DX Edition will also include a Tornado Rod, a Hookshot, a Bomb, a Baby Maiamai, a Rupee, and a Pot.
I've pre-ordered both! Are you planning on pre-ordering? If so, are you spending the extra rupees getting the DX version? Sources: What a time to be alive! There is SO much new Legend of Zelda merchandise hitting the shelves in North America it makes me cry happy tears! The World of Nintendo line keeps pumping out lovely Zelda goodness and I'M even having trouble keeping up!!! So here's some links I found from ToyWiz on some upcoming Zelda merch to keep you eyes peeled for:
New picture update! Kind of... I've been slowly adding more and more to the site, but never posting an official update. I recently picked up some new, amazing display cases from IKEA (the Detolf ones - try them!) and since I already had to remove all of my stuff from my old display I thought I'd try to catch up on backlogged Zelda goodies! Many of the newer posts still need their history info, but I'll get to that at another point. I'm also waiting on a few acrylic shelves to better organize my new display, so I'm slowly working on that as well. *Sigh - One day it will be done and beautiful!* This will probably be the laggiest, lag-laggerson lagging blog I'll ever put up on here (hopefully!) There are so many pictures that I've added since my last official update that I'm sure it will take quite some time to load! That being said, I am not going to list nor link every item I updated as well like I have done in the past. All of the updates will be in the slideshow below - so feel free to make it a scavenger hunt to find everything on the site! ;) Anywho, Enjoy! It's time this Zelda Collection had a proper home!
Help make it a reality by going to gofundme.com/ffz9wc to help recreate an awesome replica of the Kokiri Shop from Ocarina of Time 3D to become my Zelda Museum! BUYERS BEWARE! THIS IS A FAKE EBAY AUCTION!!!! Some moron is using MY PICTURE to supposedly sell "their" Majora's Mask figures!!!!! I'm asking the guy some baited questions, like if the damn collection is even his, since I linked him my website with that same image. Dumb idiot... Can't pull something on this Zelda collector... >:| http://www.ebay.com/itm/201074785492 And here's MY link for the exact same image on my website: http://linksliltri4cezeldacollection.weebly.com/majoras-mask-action-figures-prototype.html This listing is a fake. I am not selling these figures nor did I give permission to this user to utilize my image. Please spread the word!!! **EDIT** Well, he is claiming they are his... just lovely. **Edit 5-7-14**
Bad news, I'm afraid. The eBay auction that was posted a few weeks ago using my image of the Majora's Mask Figures was indeed fake. The unfortunate "winner" of the auction had contacted me about it on my deviantArt journal about the whole situation. Here's his message: "Baron-Von-Jello: Wow I wish I saw this before I bought them...I've fallen victim to this scam. So get this---I buy the figures and they ship immediately. I get a message a few days later with some sob story about how they "accidentally shipped me a present for their sister and shipped the figures to her." A slight mix up, but they assured me they'd ship the figures to me as soon as the "sister" returned the package. Days pass and their (accidental) package arrives. I promptly return it to the post office, ship it back, and wait for my package. 2 weeks pass and no figures. The seller believes she "goofed something up on the address"....yea I'm not kidding. You "goofed up" going back to print shipping label, buying a new one, and hitting print? Really? So I immediately file a claim on Ebay. Scamm er doesn't even bother waiting the 3 grace days Ebay gives you after a case is opened, and refunds all my money. It should clear by Wednesday, and when it does I'm going to leave negative feedback with a link to this journal post (if you don't mind.) Honestly I didn't get the impression I was being scammed. I thought it might have been a young kid starting out on Ebay---on account of one item sold and receiving good feedback from a long-time Ebay user in their history. They communicated well and seemed genuinely concerned something was up. Not to mention they refunded my money without hesitation. I'm glad I got my money back, but holy shit what a scumbag. Linksliltri4ce: Man, I'm so sorry to hear that. I was hoping the seller was just a lazy piece of crap who just tried to find a stock image rather than take a pic of their own figures. (Which you're not suppose to do anyways, technically...) I tried to spread the word about this as much as I could to hopefully prevent the ordeal you had to go through. I had this posted here, on my Zelda Collection website, my tumblr, Twitter, Facebook.... I even had the help of a couple Zelda and Gaming communities out there trying to help get eBay to remove the auction before it was too late. I honestly have that seller saved on my eBay profile and I've been checking in from time to time looking for a negative feedback. :\ By all means, please do feel free to link the feedback to this journal. Hopefully it will help instill the concept to losers like that seller that the internet has helped make the world a much smaller place and that claiming other things as your own for financial gain will not be tolerated. Again, I'm sorry I didn't get this message sent out far enough for you to see it in time. Fingers crossed that the refund comes through and that you can at least take solace knowing that many members in the Zelda and Gaming communities, including myself, have your back and will try to help in any way that we can." **EDIT 5-15-14** I am happy to report that the victim of fraudulent Majora's Mask figures scam has finally received a full refund!!! After several phone calls to eBay and after providing evidence of of the seller's sham (including my post about it), he was finally given his refund. Supposedly he was told that eBay will be contacting the member themselves, but so far the seller is mostly unaffected. They have not banned him, and unfortunately he has an even more expensive listing up for auction right now. (This item which he originally posted in the $230ish range is now in the $1300 neighborhood for his Buy-It-Now.) ...A price increase that miraculously appeared after the victim posted negative feedback (and after the seller bought another random item to re-increase his feedback score.) Sighs.... A least the refund was granted. Still, buyers beware of this seller! http://www.ebay.com/usr/aklng2014 The Zelda goodness just keeps on coming, and 2014 is looking out to be a great year for Zelda fans. News of a new Zelda Monopoly and Zelda Puzzle have just been announced, revealing some potential box art. Dark Horse is releasing some awesome statues from Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. The Twilight Princess Link and Ganon statues are currently on pre-order, but there is no new information on the Skyward Sword Link statue. First4Figures has done it again and is releasing a beautiful 17 inch, Twilight Princess Princess Zelda statue.
Looks like I'll need to start saving more rupees... The 2014 Winter Wonder Festival has shed light on more reasons for any Zelda fan to drool and reach for their rupees: The Nendoroid The Wind Waker HD Link and the announcement of the new A Link Between Worlds Figma figure. Personally I feel the Nendoroid version of Toon Link is even cuter than the actual model for him in the game series! As far as the ALBW Figma, I cannot WAIT until they announce what he'll look like! I wonder if they'll follow the concept art or the game-art for him and what gear he'll have (if any.)
Thoughts? Source: http://www.zeldadungeon.net/2014/02/wonder-festival-2014-featuring-link-figurines/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=wonder-festival-2014-featuring-link-figurines There was also a post concerning a concept for an Ocarina of Time Young Link Nendoroid, although here has been no word of this product existing, I love this little cute so much and would LOVE to have one! I just discovered these on eBay today, although I haven't heard too much else about them. They are apparently a pre-order for a five piece gashapon set from A Link Between Worlds. I wonder if the Link and Zelda figures will have the same chibi-style look that they have in this image or if they'll be closer to the game's art-style.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/350991271921 And a nerd update, thanks to my post, this set is now documented on the Video Game Memorabilia Museum site! :) The article has my name in it and everything, lol. Zelda mods Goddess of Wisdom and Parellel Worlds get a sweet Collector's Set from Rose Colored Gaming.
These are pretty cool and I'd consider getting them, even though they're mods. Too bad it's $400 for the set. I have a hard time justifying that for OFFICIAL Zelda stuff, and I've paid that price tag before. Still, there's a limited set of 50 of these going out, so they would be a nice addition to any Zelda collection! http://www.rosecoloredgaming.com/games.html#PhotoSwipe1391231433759 |
